Young Bald Eagle In A Dead Cottonwood Tree

I was traveling on the auto tour road at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma when I spotted a pair of Bald Eagles. They were in a large dead Cottonwood Tree. This young Eagle didn’t fly away when I drove up, so I got lots of photos.

I was shooting from inside my pickup, but I couldn’t use my beanbag because the Eagle was directly above me. I was hand-holding my camera and lens.

Bald Eagle Eating A Bird

I photographed this Bald Eagle eating a bird at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. The bird that it is eating looks like a Brown Thrasher to me.

Bald Eagle Flying Over Treetops

I have been posting photos of birds I photographed at the City Lake in Charleston, Arkansas. The reason I travel to this lake this time of year is to photograph the Bald Eagles. Here is my photo of a Bald Eagle flying over the treetops near the lake.

Young Bald Eagle In Flight

This Young Bald Eagle In Flight was feeding on a Snow Goose at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. A vehicle was driving the tour road, and this caused the Bald Eagle to take flight.
