I photographed a Great Blue Heron sunning itself on a cool April morning at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. It is neat how they droop their wings like this.

This Great Blue Heron with a Sunfish is the same bird I photographed that I thought had a problem (Great Blue Heron With A Problem). These photos are a few minutes before the Great Blue Heron started having problems so swallowing this sunfish maybe the cause.

This Great Blue Heron was hunting in a flooded roadside ditch at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. This is the same ditch that I photographed a Barred Owl Hunting A Roadside Ditch.
