Western Pygmy Rattlesnake
I came across this Western Pygmy Rattlesnake next to a game trail I was hiking near the Ouachita National Forest here in Arkansas. This was my first time seeing one of these snakes. I was surprise at how small it was (15.0 to 20.0 inches).
