As a Wildlife Photographer, I am always in awe of the beauty and mystery of the animal kingdom. One fascinating aspect of the animal world is the growth of antlers in Whitetail Bucks. In this blog post, I will show you two photos of the same Whitetail Buck, taken two months apart, to showcase just how fast antlers grow.
The first photo was taken in May (Whitetail Buck With Antlers Growing), showing a young buck with antlers just starting to grow. The second photo was taken in July, revealing a Buck with almost fully grown antlers. This just goes to show how quickly antlers can grow in just a matter of months.
I took these photos near The Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas, using my Canon EOS R5 camera and RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens. I took the second photo on July 16, 2022, at 5:09 PM, using manual exposure mode with an aperture of f7.1, a shutter speed of 1/1600, and an ISO of 2500 (auto). The exposure compensation was set to +1/2, and the focal length was 500mm.
In conclusion, these photos serve as a reminder of the incredible beauty and mystery of the animal kingdom. It’s amazing to think that these magnificent antlers can grow so quickly in just a matter of months.
