This Bull Elk was close to the road and I couldn’t get the full head shot. I had my camera and lens resting on a bean bag draped over the open window of my pickup.

Arkansas Cow Elk

Once in a while I will make a trip to Buffalo National River here in Arkansas to photograph Elk. I haven’t been in several years and I need to make a trip this fall. This photo is a cow Elk that I photographed in September 2012.

I was in the Boxley Valley area where the Elk are close to the road. I had my camera and lens mounded on a tripod and I was standing near the side of the road.
