American Tree Frog On The Horton Slough Trail
Wildlife photographer Steve Creek describes encountering and photographing an American green tree frog while hiking in Oklahoma.
Green tree frogs are a vibrant subject for my photography, especially in Arkansas wetlands. I document their smooth, bright green skin and their nocturnal habits. I capture their calls and their presence in vegetation near water. I observe their role as insect predators. I aim to show their delicate beauty and their importance in the local ecosystem. Their vivid color makes them a joy to photograph.
