I made a trip to the Buffalo National River this past Saturday to photograph the elk. It was foggy when I arrived but I think the fog adds to the photos. I want to thank Michael Dougherty (Arkansas Wildlife Photography) for keeping everyone updated on where and what the elk are doing in Boxley Valley. [...]

I kept seeing this elk on both trips to the Buffalo National River. This usually happens when they have some type of injury but this bull elk appeared to be healthy.

I went up to the Buffalo River (Boxley Valley) to take elk photos last Saturday. I was unable to locate any of the large bull elk but did spot a few small ones.
