This Wild Texas Longhorn Calf was at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. I photographed it back in March 2016. The Texas Longhorns are in several areas of this refuge and are easy to photograph from a vehicle.
How I Got The Shot – Texas Longhorn Calf
I parked on the side of the road. I had my Canon EOS 7D Mark II camera with a Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens attached resting on a bean bag draped over the open window of my pickup.
