I have a picture of a male goldfinch changing colors. If you would like to see it, let me know at my email address. Make pics the subject. I can get more of these if you want.
Of course I am sure you have them–just wondering. The current pic I have is not the best but I can improve them.
good morning Steve Creek. i cannot sleep this early morn’, and happened upon your photography while searching for info on purchasing a new camera. your photos are brilliant. showing OFF that wonderful world of nature that God has made – the details of which confirm, at least to ME and my soul – that there IS a GOD and he is a BRILLIANT CREATOR. oh, such detail and colors in his creations!!
smile. how can people NOT see that God is alive and HIS HAND is perfect.
just wanted to say THANK you for sharing your ‘eye’ with the world.
i’ve seen the world with my cameras. strapping 2-3 around my neck at one time. i’ve been priviliged in my single life to have had the good fortune of some serious travel. living in Africa, getting sick in Nepal, the list is FUN and long.
my schooling at an ART institute allowed me the JOY of getting a degree in design and photography. i’m jealous, now that i think about it, with your walks around this planet and your hometown – and how you can find such treasures so close to home. most people in life are, sadly, too busy chasing the wind to stop and SEE the things that capture your eye. oh, how they MISS the glories of REAL LIVING and the GRAND art of life. the things that you uncover are a beautiful example of the details that spring out of the Hand of God. how sad it is that so many people miss God’s detail. they would have so much more PEACE and STILLness if they would slow themselves DOWN enough to notice the details of God’s hand. because. if God can create such amazing beauty in the small and grande things of nature – how MUCH MORE beauty and grace does God give to his OWN living children!!! (0h, i’m rambling!!!)
my search for a camera continues. i want a ’simple one’ for now. i’ll wait to splurge on a ‘grownup’ SLR with all the bells and whistles after my purchase of a Plasma TV with the after Christmas SALES. for now, i just want a camera that i can throw in my purse and venture out for a simple day. and NOPE. it will NOT be one of those dang teeny tiny mega pic cameras that are as small as a credit card. WHAT is with THAT*(#&*(!!!!. i want this camera to FEEL like an SLR, but have the attributes of an point and shoot. wish me luck in my search. a bargain hunter, me? absolutely!!! i know how to SHOP. it’s a girl thing. smile.
have a great day and remember. God is SO GOOD. He’ll take care of you if you ask!!!!~~~~~

Elizabeth, thank you for your kind words. Your right people do need to slow down and enjoy Gods world. They may find that it would solve some of there problems.
Hey Steve
Just setting here. Drilling kind of slow. Been a few days sense I been on your site. Looks like you got some great shots of a real good buck. I’ll be checking back tomorrow to see just how close you did get.

The day I took these photos, I saw 6 but have gone back and have only seen 2. Thanks for the heads up. If you know of any good areas please let me know.
Hi Steve,
thanks for adding me on Twitter, I am following you now.
I have missed your quest for shed antlers and your friendship on the net. Your site is great and I hope you will get a section on shed hunting going on it.
I know you do not do much linking but I would love to have a reciprocal link with you again.
I wish you luck this spring and hope to see you at the famous Christmas Place one day.
Rex
Thanks for visiting my blog. I am glad you like my photos. I have another site that I use and you can purchase photos from that site: http://arklahomawildlife.com
Great photos!! I tend to be more of a opportunist with my photos. You may remember that patience was not one of my strong points while at DCFS.
I actually came to your website to congratulate you on your retirement. While I am happy for you, I regret losing you to the crime victims of the county. Since I retired (the second time) we have been to the northwest. Montana, Wyoming, and Oregon are great. I didn’t care much for Washington. I hope you enjoy your retirement as much as I have mine.
Steve,
You are a great photographer – you have captured the animal’s spirit. With your permission, I would love to paint the doe, “Brown-Eyed-Girl”. I also love the armadillos! I have been painting for about 3 years now, and your animals depict exactly what I like to paint – animals as they are meant to be. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks a bunch.. Carol
I’d love to talk to you about your hawk phots….the telephone ones. I have something to share with you, and then have a request of you. You can check out why I’m interested in hawks on my website.
THANKS!
Joyce
Hi, Steve. I found your blog on the Nature Blog Network. I’m in west Tennessee and appreciate your tactics of patience and paying close attention to nature. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been passed by joggers, mountain bikers and power walkers who undoubtedly wonder why I’m pointing my camera into a nondescript section of weeds. While they’re busy doing their thing, nature is happening all around them. Oh well. More for me. : )
Great blog. Keep up the good work. What kind of camera equipment do you use? I’m looking to upgrade soon for better macros.
I’d love to send you a picture of the bird we saw in our back yard, we have much wild life in this suburban town, deer, rabbits, turkeys, and birds, I think this is a HAWK but it could be an owl.
Send me your email and lets see if you can figure it out.
