My Eastern Bluebirds have been up to some antics that are just too funny not to share!
So, as you may know, the Eastern Bluebirds have been working hard on building a nest in one of my bird houses. The female has been busily constructing the nest while the male stands guard, keeping watch for any potential predators. It’s quite the team effort!
Now, the other day, I noticed that the female was looking a little…well, let’s just say “disheveled.” I mean, who wouldn’t be after all that nest-building work? So, it seems that she decided it was time for a little R&R in the form of a bath and a soak.
And where did she choose to indulge in this spa day, you ask? None other than my trusty birdbath, of course! I have to say, watching her splash and flutter about in the water was quite the sight to see. It’s like she was saying, “Ahh, this is the life!”
Of course, I couldn’t resist taking some photos of this hilarious scene. I mean, who wouldn’t want to capture the pure joy of an Eastern Bluebird enjoying a good soak?
So, there you have it, folks. Even the birds need a little self-care from time to time. And if you happen to have a birdbath in your yard, you never know what kind of entertainment you might be in for!

Love the blog! Great job capturing her life! When we moved into our house last summer I watched a cardinal bath in the wet leaves of my yew which was right in front of my window. She too enjoyed a spa day. It made a impression on me.
Thanks Trish. I’m glad you enjoy my photos and blog.
Steve-love your photos and the blogs are quite a treat as well-thank you.
Thanks! That makes my day!
What a treat! Keep us on the loop!!!
Oh! I will!
That is a funny sight but live I bet it was hilarious to see
It was cool to watch and photograph. You may like tomorrows post of a different bird in the birdbath.
