Four-toed Salamander
I came across this Four-toed Salamander while walking a country road near the Ouachita National Forest here in Arkansas. I had no idea what type of Salamander this was and had to do some research. I hope I got the type correct. I read that they will eat ticks so that’s good for around here.

I got low to the ground while hand-holding my camera and lens to photograph this Salamander.
