Otter Eating Crayfish
I recently had the opportunity to capture a unique moment in nature at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. While exploring the Upper Scarborough area, I walked upon an Otter in the act of consuming a crayfish.
To capture this moment, I utilized my Canon EOS R5 and RF 100-500 mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens, hand-held. I chose to shoot in Aperture Priority mode with an aperture of f8, shutter speed of 1/2500, and ISO of 2000. A slight exposure compensation of -1/3 was also applied. The focal length used was 500 mm.
The experience was unforgettable and the resulting photos perfectly capture the beauty and grace of this amazing creature in its natural habitat. Enjoy the photos taken on July 22, 2022 at 8:01 A.M. at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge.
