Steve, I love the John Burroughs quote! Great pictures too.
Terrific photos! So glad I found you on Twitter. I live in a city, work in glass and steel and view your photos as a vacation from my space. Thank you for sharing these beautiful scenes!
Thank you Mia! I saw it in the “Birds and Bloom” magazine and I thought it was great.
Thank you Desiree!
Nice post Steve!
Wonderful post of one of my most favourite birds…
What a charming little bird… great shots Steve.
Great quote & pics!
Very nicely done. Your blog / photography feed is a joy to receive! ~ Red
Lovely quote; lovely photos!
great photo’s, have you had the chance to shoot a western bluebird? if so a comparison of photo’s with the eastern would be great for woodcarvers.

Steve, I have not seen a Western Bluebird yet. I did photograph a Mountain Bluebird a couple of years ago but they don’t look much like the Eastern or Western. Maybe one of these days I will be able to photograph the Western.
Your wonderful picture & quote of this beautiful little bird exemplifies why it is called
“The Bluebird of Happiness”. Good going Steve!
Wonderful photos, especially with these colours and details. Like it!
