A Painted Bunting

Last week I posted photos of a Blue Grosbeak and a Indigo Bunting I photographed in this one area at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. Today is a photo of a Painted Bunting that was in the same area.

Painted Buntings are shy, secretive and often difficult to see. Males sing from exposed perches and often hop on the ground. The Painted Bunting eats seeds, spiders, insects and caterpillars. Listen To A Painted Bunting
