This is the Great Blue Heron I was photographing when the Eastern Blue Bird came and started modeling for me. These photos were taken at the Spiro City Lake in Oklahoma. I like to stop by this lake sometimes when I visit Robert S Kerr Lock And Dam 15.

I watched this Great Blue Heron on this foggy morning catch this fish and then just walked around with it. I don’t see them do that very often.

I waited awhile to see if this Great Blue Heron could catch something in this thick green stuff but it flew away before it did. These were taken at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.
