An American White Pelican Catching A Fish

Unlike the Brown Pelican, the American White Pelican does not dive for its food. Instead it catches its prey while swimming. Each bird eats more than 4 pounds of food a day.

Old Metal Pot Found On The Arkansas River

The Arkansas River is only a couple of miles from my house as the crow flies and this is an awesome place to go for a walk. You can see all kinds of great things to photograph. I know I mainly photograph wildlife but I just couldn’t pass on this old metal pot.

These photos were taken at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. Note: I am posting photos on the weekends of the places I frequent here in Arkansas and Oklahoma. I am also using a different camera (Canon Powershot s95) instead of my regular camera (Canon EOS-1D Mark III).
