I was hidden in an area watching two bucks chasing three Does when I heard this Coyote sneaking around in the bush. After a few minutes it stepped out and just stared. I took a few photos and then it turned and slowly walked away.

Nice photo. An opportunity that I hope to witness myself.
Thanks Gunde! It was an exciting encounter!
Wow! That’s wild!! It would have scared me.
Wow! What a beauty. You were very fortunate to get such a close look!
Wily Coyote..Looking good for lunch Steve? Heh, he..
How exciting! Beautiful light colored eyes.
Steve,
Very nice photo! The coyote is quite un-appreciated by many! (Also note the new email: thorsrig@centurylink.net I would like to add this as my new one)

A wonderful sighting! I have only caught glimpses of coyotes. They always seem to be on the move. Beautiful eyes. Superb capture!
What a healthy looking animal – obviously not the scrawny underfed critters we often see depicted. Marvelous photo Steve and what a neat encounter with something that wild up close and personal!
That’s a bit scary and glad you didn’t become a meal for him! Good photo though.
On Monday I was visiting my mom at the nursing home where she lives. We were eating lunch and the ladies at another table were talking about a bird on the brick wall outside. I turned around and an american kestral was sitting on the fence. I guess he heard we were having fish for lunch and came to check it out. Such a pretty bird. He was there a few minutes then flew off. I was surprised to see a bird of prey that close up in a human setting!
He decided against you…huh
