Rosie Bitten By Snake

By | July 23, 2013

The Vet thinks Rosie was bitten by a snake Saturday. She developed a large lump between her shoulder. She and I were picking tomatoes and just hanging around outdoors at a friend’s house. Rosie is always near my side so I’m not sure when it happened or what type of snake it was.

After the Vet shaved the area of the swelling we could see the puncture wounds.

She is doing well and I hope that the bite does not cause very much tissue damage.

I am thinking Rosie has 9 lives like a cat. She has been through a lot in her 5 years. She was severely abused as a pup, almost eaten by a Coyote (I Almost Lost My Dog), and now snake bit.

That is really scary. Good thing you noticed it. I agree with Ricky (I think that was the name) who said maybe she was trying to protect you. Makes sense to me. Poor girl. Dogs are so tough.

I’m so glad that Rosie is OK – she looks like an amazing little dog. Do keep us posted on how she is doing.
    All the best,
