

I was hoping to photograph one of these Robber Flies with a prey but no such luck. They will attack other flies, beetles, butterflies and moths, various bees, ants, dragon and damselflies, Ichneumon wasps, grasshoppers, and some spiders.

I wasn’t following you at the time these photos were taken. I am so amazed at the incredible closeup with all the detail. WOW!! Where would one find these particular flies?

I have never seen one like that – it looks pretty amazing with all the little spikes on its legs.
