River Otter

The Northern American river otter is found throughout North America, inhabiting inland waterways and coastal areas in Canada, Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the Atlantic states, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Although commonly called a “river otter”, the name can be misleading, as it inhabits marine as well as freshwater environments, and the freshwater environments include standing bodies of water such as lakes.

My name is Steve Creek and I am a photographer from Lavaca, Arkansas. I am always outdoors walking around with a camera so I decided to get serious about taking nature photos while on my adventures. My favorite area to view wildlife is at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. I also like walking around Wells Lake and the Arkansas River Valley Nature Center. Thank you for visiting my photoblog.
