I have photographed this eagle before: One-eyed Eagle . He is located at the Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, Missouri. I just think he is such an awesome bird even with the bad eye.

Hi Steve,
This is a awesome bird even with the bad eye!! The portrait is beautiful and the bird just gorgeous. I would love to see one!

This bird is gorgeous. Good clear shot. I would never be able to get this close to a real bird
of prey. Thanks. The only thing that bothers me, is he looks like a neighbor down the street
who eyeballs me when I go walking.

Awesome picture Steve. The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” holds true for the eagle’s expression is as if he is contemplating, wondering, asking: “What went wrong? Why am I not proudly soaring above this Nation, above the home of the brave, and land of the free? Is this Nation really free? Where are the brave? Are their heads still buried in the sand? What is the price of freedom? Is the price not worth it anymore? Can they not see Truth anymore? God Help this great Nation!”

I love the photo of the eagle, Steve. I also find it great that you find the bird worthy of your time and expertise even though he is ‘flawed’. We need to know that there is beauty in everything even though its not perfect. Welld one!
