This Green Heron was working a small pool of water near the Arkansas River. I watched it catching small fish but was unable to get a good photo. It did sneak up on a butterfly that was on the side of a tree. It held onto the butterfly (first photo) for a long time so I thought maybe it would use it for bait which they are known for, but it did finally eat it.
