Blue Jays have strong black bills used for cracking nuts, and acorns and for eating corn, grains and seeds, although they also eat insects such as beetles, grasshoppers, and caterpillars.

These photos were taken in my yard.

Great shots. What a pretty bird.

What great shots! Way to capture an animal that many think is just “common” or “everyday.” So, is there any way I could borrow that lens for, oh, say, a couple of years? :D

Keep on shootin’!

Fantastic!

Bryan, the Canon 500 f4 is an amazing lens as you can see. The only thing I don’t like about it is the size. It is a monster lens that I just can’t carry everywhere with me. It also takes special support equipment to handle it.

You need to do like I did and take a part time job and get this lens.

When you can see them this close up, you realize just how beautiful the Blue Jay truly is.
Great shots, as always.
