Chipmunks In The Tetons

A Grand Teton National Park Chipmunk

A Chipmunk

The Chipmunks are everywhere here in the Grand Teton National Park. Whenever I took a break and would sit down I seemed to always have one appear. I have no idea what this one was eating so I posted a couple of photos of it so that someone could let me know.

The least chipmunk is the smallest chipmunk in North America. It is also the most widespread species of chipmunk in North America occurring across north-central and western United States and from British Columbia and southern Yukon to western Quebec in Canada. The species is found in a variety of habitats including mixed deciduous and coniferous forests, boreal forest, and sagebrush plains.

[…] Chipmunks In The Tetons – chipmunks make for great photography subjects, if you can get them to sit still long enough to compose and fire off the shot!  Steve Creek captures a set of images of one particular little fur-friend who is busy gnoshing on something delicious to eat.  The last photo of this set in particular really exposes the wonderful character these creatures have.
