I know some people are wondering what brought me to the Dubois, Wyoming area. I hope this photo of Brooks Lake will give you an idea.
I read about this place and saw photos of it and I just wanted to see it for myself. I arrived just as the sun was coming up and I was amazed. (For my Arkansas friends and family who are suffering 110 degree temps. It was 42 degrees when I arrived at this lake.)
I hiked over 8 miles the first morning I arrived.
I hiked up to the Pinnacles in the background and will share those photos tomorrow.
Brooks Lake is a scenic and secluded 234-acre alpine lake tucked away in the Shoshone National Forest in northwestern Wyoming. Surrounded by over 800,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness.
