Beaver On A Log

Beaver Sitting On A Log

I spotted this Beaver grooming itself on a log just as the sun was starting to rise at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.

Nice shots Steve. I’ve always had a soft spot for beavers, particularly after spending a summer researching their impact on bird populations in the Adirondacks.

I love seeing this chubby rodent. I didn’t realize just how flexible the tail is – the way it kind of slithers off the log at the end of the video is strange.

That is cool shot! At first, I was guessing that the beaver would not swim. It looks like scared to jump to the water. I was wrong when I see the video.

Love those little critters – of course I would since I live in Beaver Valley – where they constantly try to build their homes where the farmers don’t want them. Beautiful video Steve. Well done. Love the way this little fellow slipped into the water and away!

I’m still learning about video so thanks for the kind words Barbara! Elijah, you will need to share in reference to Beavers and the impact on birds.
